Stack chairs offer a versatility that makes them the prime choice for numerous seating areas. Stackable chairs offer durable, comfortable seating with the ability to quickly store them in a much smaller space. Banquets, receptions, weddings and graduations are a few examples of where stack chairs are the optimal choice for your guests. Many upholstery options are available including fabric, vinyl and polyurethane. For maximum storage capabilities and mobility, use a stack chair dolly. A stacking chair dolly holds a large number of stackable chairs. The dolly wheels make moving numerous chairs quick and simple.
There are many stacking chair designs but almost all stackable chairs are made with durable steel frames. Some common types are 16 gauge or 18 gauge steel. The lower gauge numbers are thicker metal and will provide more durability and a higher weight rating. If you will be seating guests that weigh in excess of 250 lbs, then a minimum of 18 gauge steel is recommended. There are also some variations in the type of frame design that you can choose. Some stacking chairs offer a rounded back while others feature square backs with handles for easy mobility. You may also choose to go with a sled based design which is great for carpeted areas.
It is also important to find an upholstery option that is right for the area and situation that the stackable chairs will be used for. The most common type of upholstery used is vinyl. Vinyl is great for most stack chair environments because it is easy to clean and still padded enough to provide comfort to the guest. Another commonly used upholstery is fabric. Fabric is more comfortable to the touch than vinyl and often has thicker padding but is not as washable as vinyl. Fabric is good for areas where guest will be seated for short periods. It is also recommended that fabric chairs only be used in clean areas and without food or drinks because they are not stain resistant. Polyurethane stackable chairs are also used in break rooms, computer labs and many other settings. Although less comfortable over long periods than the padded upholstery options, they offer maximum wash ability and durability.
For even greater mobility we recommend using folding chairs. A folding chair can provide the same comfort as a stacking chair with an even lighter, foldable design which is great for small spaces. Folding chairs are also available in vinyl, fabric or metal and are often found in a variety of color options. We also offer a full line of waiting room seating. Everything from reception couches to simple guest chairs are available. |
